Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, FHA changes

National Stimulus Package has caused the FHA loan  limit to double on 3/6/2008. Fannie Mae will also be changing. This should stimulate more refinances and purchases. This increase in maximum loan limits was only through the end of 2008, but has been extended.   https://entp.hud.gov/idapp/html/hicostlook.cfm

Andrew Cuomo of New York has made an agreement with both Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac to create more distance between the commissioned loan underwriters and appraisers to try to eliminate lender pressure on appraisers. The new HVCC Rules are now available and went into effect on 5/1/2009.  Our class APPRAISERS: TAKE BACK YOUR INDUSTRY addresses the ramifications of the HVCC and what appraisers can do to help stop the destructive policies that are destroying the appraisal industry.

FNMA has re-written their Guidelines which go into effect on 9/1/2010. These include more required photographs.  Our FNMA/ANSI Class covers the changes and more!
